Kunika Kono is a Senior Developer and Technical Lead at the Institute of Historical Research. She joined the Institute in October 2017 as the Institute’s Senior Web Developer. Kunika is responsible for the maintenance, enhancement and development of the IHR’s extensive digital estate. She also manages the technical dimension of IHR digital research projects, including British History Online, British and Irish Furniture Makers Online, and the Power of Petitioning.
Kunika worked previously at the Oxford Internet Institute, Oxford University, as a developer and web manager. Kunika is a specialist in Drupal and WordPress content management systems, visualisation and design, and has experience in 3D research. In 2018-19 Kunika played a lead role in the redesign and project management of the new IHR website.
